Todd Donnelly Releases New Healing and Meditation Steel Drum Recording “Healing Steel Drums Volume One”

Veteran Steel Drum Artist Todd Donnelly has just released a new recording entitled âHealing Steel Drums Volume Oneâ on M & M Records. âHealing Steel Drums Volume Oneâ is a revolutionary idea, making use of only natural, acoustically recorded steel drums for healing and meditation music.
Each of the songs on this recording features several layers of steel drums (also called âSteel Pansâ), making wonderful overtones that are quite soothing and relaxing.
The sound field that is produced on this album can be extremely effective in healing and meditation applications. It is also suitable for listening throughout massage therapy, yoga sessions, and spa treatments. âHealing Steel Drums Volume Oneâ can be enjoyed any time of the day by young and old listeners alike.
This recording was carried out on entirely on a set of Double Second Steel Pans, which had been made and tuned by Cliff Alexis, a master steel drum builder and tuner originally from the island of Trinidad.
According to the artist, âThe drums were recorded in their natural state, giving the listener the most authentic sound probable. You can hear each and every note as if it had been being played correct in front of you.â Toddâs goal in producing this recording was to create songs that are both relaxing and rejuvenating. There are also some classic Calypso melodies and chord adjustments that will undoubtedly transport listeners to a warmer climate!
âHealing Steel Drums Volume Oneâ consists of a total of six extended songs, each with 2 distinct versions. The first set of songs has ocean sounds mixed in to transport the listener instantly âto the beachâ, whilst the remaining six versions are steel drums only.
